Bio

Adam Sultan literally paints zen onto a canvas. He explores the “heritage of modernist abstraction” while evoking the constantly evolving relationship between man and a sustainable environment.

His mixed media artworks are contemplative and timeless. They have layers upon layers of acrylic paint, mediums and sometimes found items like real beach sand which creates poetic textures and deep subtleties of colours.  Drawing great inspiration from water, seascapes and boats often feature in his paintings. Not to be pigeon-holed, Adam also has fun with abstract paintings.

Adam has been told his most iconic work are the dories he paints. "It's the symbol for infinity" he says as he motions the figure 8 laying on it's side. They are indeed classic and endless like a Mobius Strip.
